Scarlet SRF

Scarlet SRF is the latest tool in our arsenal to address the signs of aging, as well as treat acne-prone skin. The FDA-cleared treatment combines RF (radiofrequency) and microneedling to rebuild collagen in the skin. This treatment helps to smooth fine lines, tighten skin, decrease pore size and improve the texture of the skin.

Traditional microneedling involves creating tiny punctures in the skin using micro-needles, which cause the skin to start the healing process to stimulate collagen production. This helps with skin tightening and improvement of superficial appearance.

By adding short-pulsed radiofrequency, the Scarlet SRF treatment triggers even more collagen production and causes subdermal tissues to tighten and contract. It is a powerful, minimally invasive skin treatment that rejuvenates and lessens the signs of aging by effectively tightening sagging skin, reducing wrinkles, improving texture and overall appearance. It also helps with acne scarring, stretch marks, and reducing pore size.

We often combine Agnes and Scarlet treatments to maximize skin tightening in certain areas, such as the jawline and under-eye area.

Agnes Precision RF

Agnes RF (radio frequency) is a non-surgical skin tightening procedure for areas of the face, including under the eyes and the jawline, as well as to treat persistent acne cysts and overactive oil glands.

Using the power of RF energy-enabled microneedles to boost collagen production and provide natural-looking results, Agnes RF works to:

  • Treat skin laxity and sagging
  • Improve skin texture and smoothness
  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Plump the skin
  • Promote collagen production
  • Tighten the face and neck
  • Treat scars
  • Target fat reduction under the chin, jowls and eye bags

Unlike lasers, which are light-based forms of energy, RF energy is electricity that we carefully control with specialized devices, such as the Agnes RF. The heat from the RF treatment causes fat coagulation and tighten collagen fibers in your skin, while also stimulating fibroblasts to produce more collagen – helping you achieve tighter, younger-looking skin, with minimal downtime.

We typically recommend patients undergo a series of Agnes RF treatments to achieve optimal results. Since it takes time for collagen to build up, your results will continue improving throughout the months following your treatment.

Collagen P.I.N.

Microneedling with the Collagen P.I.N. is a simple treatment that improves the skin’s texture and appearance by using the body’s natural healing process to produce new collagen and elastin. Microneedling creates precise, microscopic channels at various depths to trigger the skin’s natural rejuvenation. Men and women concerned about uneven skin texture and mild to moderate acne scars can achieve excellent microneedling results at the Dallas Center for Dermatology and Aesthetics.

Getting Great Results

There are numerous treatments available that can improve the texture and tone of your skin. They range from chemical peels and laser skin resurfacing to IPL Photofacial. Dr. Stetler and Dr. Polder customize treatments based on a thorough assessment of your skin, so that you get the desired results. That customization includes combining microneedling with other treatments, including:

Recovery

Microneedling treatments typically cause mild swelling and redness in the first couple of days following the procedure. It’s similar to a mild sunburn, and any discomfort can be alleviated with over-the-counter pain relief medication. Most of the redness and swelling, along with bruising if it occurs, is gone by the third day after your treatment.

Dallas Microneedling FAQ

Is microneedling worth it?
Yes, many patients consider microneedling an effective way to renew their skin’s texture and radiance. It stimulates collagen production, improving skin texture, reducing fine lines, and enhancing the overall appearance, making it a valuable investment in your skincare routine.
Can microneedling really help improve acne scars?
Microneedling can significantly improve acne scars by stimulating collagen and elastin production, which helps smooth the skin’s surface, reducing the appearance of scars over time.
How often will I need to get microneedling?
After an initial series of treatments, patients can maintain their results with a treatment every 6 to 12 months, depending on their lifestyle and individual factors.
